Terms of Service
These are the terms between you and Tilers Mate Ltd when you use Tilers Mate. By using it you agree to them. We've kept them as plain as we can.

What Tilers Mate is — and what it isn't
Tilers Mate is an estimating aid, not a replacement for your own judgement. It works out quantities and costs from the figures and settings you give it. You are the tiler. Check the figures before you order materials or send a price to a customer.
The calculations use standard trade coverage rates and the wastage allowances shown in the app. Real jobs vary — substrates, tile batches, site conditions, how a pattern falls in a particular room. The results depend entirely on what you enter, including your own prices, and we cannot check whether what you've entered is right.
Quotes and invoices produced by Tilers Mate are yours. The contract for the tiling work is between you and your customer, and we are not part of it.
Your data is stored on your device
Keep your own records. Your prices, settings, saved jobs and customer details are stored in your browser on your own device — not on our servers. If you clear your browser data, use private browsing, or move to a new phone, that information is lost and we cannot get it back for you.
We are working on cloud accounts for a future version. Until then, please treat anything important as you would notes on your phone: keep a copy elsewhere.
Trying it before you pay
You can produce three complete quotes free of charge, without giving us a card. Reworking a job you've already started doesn't count as a new one. After that you'll need a subscription to carry on.
Subscriptions and payment
- Prices are shown on our website and include any VAT that applies at the time.
- Payment is taken by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise the recurring payment.
- Monthly subscriptions renew every month; annual subscriptions renew every year, unless cancelled.
- We'll email you a receipt for every payment.
The founder's price
If you subscribe during the founder's offer period advertised on our website, the monthly price you sign up at is fixed for as long as your subscription runs without a break. That's a promise we intend to keep. If you cancel and later come back, you'll pay whatever the price is then.
Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time. You'll keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- We don't give part refunds for time remaining in a period you've already paid for.
- If something has gone genuinely wrong at our end, email us. We'd rather sort it out than argue about it.
- If you're buying as a consumer rather than for your business, you have additional cancellation rights under consumer law, which these terms don't affect.
Using it sensibly
Please don't share your subscription with other businesses, resell access, copy the app, try to break into it, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability
We aim to keep Tilers Mate available and working, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable — hosting, browsers and networks are outside our control. We may update the app, and occasionally change or withdraw features. If we make a significant change to what you're paying for, we'll tell subscribers by email.
Price changes
Except for the founder's price above, we may change our prices. Existing subscribers will get at least 30 days' notice by email, and you're free to cancel before a new price takes effect.
Where we stand on liability
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Beyond that, and because Tilers Mate is an estimating aid you're expected to check: we are not liable for business losses — including lost profit, mispriced or underquoted jobs, materials ordered in the wrong quantity, wasted time, lost data, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of Tilers Mate. Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Trade marks
TILERS MATE is a trade mark of Tilers Mate Ltd. The app, its design and its contents belong to us. You get the right to use it while you're subscribed, and nothing more.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we'll email subscribers about anything significant.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
